Bays Boating was started in 2004 by Dave Thorn in his parent's hop shed in the Motueka Valley. It has since grown to be the region’s largest marine retail and service centre, now employing over ten staff. Our dedication to the brands has seen Bays Boating awarded McLay Dealer of the Year, two years in a row, and most recently, the first South Island dealership to become a Mercury Premier Service Centre. Offering a state-of-the-art marine repair workshop & service centre In 2019, Bays Boating opened a spacious new showroom and purpose-built workshop where there are five mechanics on-hand to service and repair your boat. In 2016, Bays Boating became part of Boating & Outdoors in New Zealand; the largest marine buying group, so we can offer a huge range of boating accessories at great prices.
