JAC is a Chinese commercial-vehicle manufacturer with more than 60 years of truck-making behind it — the number-one exporter of high-end light trucks from China and, as of late 2025, the second-largest ute exporter, selling in over 130 countries. Now half-owned by Volkswagen Group, its fourth-generation T9 ute anchors a New Zealand range that spans EV and Cummins-powered diesel light trucks (6–9T GVM) and T9 ute variants including a PHEV.
