NZDA North Canterbury Branch

The North Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Deerstalkers Association brings together recreational hunters and shooters across the Canterbury region — advocacy, education, tradition and ethics. Founded in July 1949, it is one of the largest NZDA branches in the country, with over 700 members.

Members get monthly branch meetings with guest speakers, rifle range access with an electronic target system, the NZDA HUNTS Course (Hunter National Training Scheme), club hunts for all levels of experience, predator control in partnership with the Department of Conservation, hunting lodge accommodation at Palmer Lodge in Lewis Pass, and antler, horn, tusk and photographic competitions. New members welcome.
