Shade Plus

Shade Plus designs, manufactures and installs custom shade and weather-protection systems from its head office on Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch. The company began in Christchurch in 2006, and Dion and Gail stepped into ownership in 2024.

It hand-crafts shade sails, outdoor blinds and screens, retractable roofing systems, umbrellas, awnings and canopies, plus one-off custom projects, covering Canterbury and the West Coast and supplying into the North Island. The team handles the whole job from design through installation, and offers after-sales repair, removal and restoration of existing sails. It has installed over 300 shade systems in New Zealand schools and pre-schools. Visitors can talk through a residential or commercial project and request a free quote.
