Spicecraft

Spicecraft is a family-owned business based in Christchurch, founded by Richard and Katrina Killoh. Richard's love of food runs deep — his grandmother Gillian started New Zealand's first dedicated herb farm in Akaroa, and growing up surrounded by fresh herbs and bold flavours set him on a path through professional kitchens and large-scale catering, cooking for thousands at weddings, events and shows. Out of those spit-roast catering days came a simple mission: help everyone enjoy better-tasting food.

Launched as a side hustle in 2012, Spicecraft crafts signature salts and seasonings — from globally inspired blends like Rockin' Moroccan and Cravin' Cajun to proudly Kiwi originals like Crackin' Kiwi and Smokey Garlic Salt. Every spice and herb is personally inspected and blended into considered flavour profiles using premium ingredients sourced as close to the origin as possible, then sold direct to keep it as fresh and full-flavoured as it can be.
