The Rescue Coordination Centre New Zealand (RCCNZ) is New Zealand’s national search and rescue organisation.
The Rescue Coordination Centre New Zealand (RCCNZ) is responsible for coordinating:
- Search and Rescue Operations that require coordination at the national level
- Maritime and aviation search and rescue missions within New Zealand’s search and rescue region
- Land-based missions that are initiated via a Satellite Distress Notification Devices
- SAR support and advice to emergency response partners (e.g NZ Police, Ambulance and Civil Defence) We deliver these services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year RCCNZ is a part of MNZ's wider maritime incident response function
