South Island Overlanders is aimed at older couples (but all are welcome), overlanding can be an especially rewarding experience. Overlanding provides a unique opportunity to travel at a slower pace, to explore off the beaten path, and to immerse oneself in the beauty of nature. For those who may be feeling a bit burnt out from their daily routines, overlanding can offer a chance to recharge, to disconnect from technology, and to reconnect with each other. However, overlanding can also be challenging, especially for those who are new to the experience. It requires careful planning, preparation, and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and by joining a tour, participants can share knowledge and experiences, learn from each other, and build a sense of community. South Island Overlanders focuses on travelling the lesser travelled path and as Tolkien said “not all who wander are lost”
